Most operators choose to deploy PortLink with our highly secure cloud-based integration. This orientation allows PortLink to update in real time while drawing from pertinent data from your TOS or ancillary systems to improve operations. A two-way interface allows your TOS to request key decisions, such as a container position assignment, or dispatching a move to a specific yard crane. Our dedicated service team works hand-in-hand with your operations and IT teams to ensure that your PortLink deployment fits your unique needs.

Usually, this involves minor testing of the various APIs and messages to ensure that your upgraded TOS and database continue to perform as expected. Our team can test your new systems to ensure they meet the technical requirements and API documents deployed during the initial PortLink implementation and ensure that the solutions continue to perform as expected.

Most workflow changes do not require solution changes, other than potential configuration updates to the PortLink solutions deployed.  In the rare circumstances where they do, an Avlino representative will create a workflow change document ensuring that the new workflow can be met with a new work order, customization services, or other relevant project plans.

PortLink solutions have significant configuration options with the ability to not only monitor its effectiveness but also to deploy the solution in a limited capacity, whether on a specific yard area, for particular ships or services, or in a designated area. This customization allows you to limit any risk until you are satisfied that PortLink will improve your ongoing operations. Additionally, the operator assumes 100% control over PortLink modules, such as turning off or disengaging any PortLink module at any time.
